This is not going to be an ordinary night out at the Institute!

In recent years we've attempted to add a number of extra-special thought provoking events to our annual programme, which in the past have included talke and exhibitions on local heritage but also topics some consider controversial such as ghost-hunting and mediumship.

This time, we're making Shildon Railway Institute available on a night it would be normally closed for a very unique and intimate night of entertainment where we will be exploring different facets of the supernatural with Professor Iain Jay, a leading expert in multiple fields of the paranormal.

Furthermore to make sure the atmosphere is just right for such an exploration we're limiting the number of places available - so we're expecting an intimate experience.

So get yourselves ready to settle in for a 'quiet night' together at Shildon's historic and eerie railway institute where we'll turn down the lights, enjoy a supper of delicious chilli* (did someone say...chilly?) and nachos with friends, take in all the creaks and groans of this historic building and ask ourselves that eternal question - "is there anybody there?"

There is no reserved seating for this event, so available seats are provided on a first come, first served basis.

Tickets for this exclusive unrepeatable night of entertainment are £13 (is that unlucky?).

IMPORTANT NOTES

As well as adults we are pleased to welcome young people aged 14 or over to this event as long as they are accompanied by an adult 18 or over.

Please be aware that though there will be a bar open for the event, persons under 18 years of age may not make purchases of any sort at the bar and under our 'Challenge 25' policy you may be required to provide proof of age. Under the terms of UK licensing law persons under the age of 18 cannot drink alcohol on the premises. 

Tickets will be sent by Royal Mail first class post - or if purchased within 7 days of the event will be retained for collection at the door in a named envelope.

(* The chilli provided is included in the ticket price and is available in 'beef' or 'vegetarian' (made with Quorn) variants and includes optional extras such as pickled jalapenos, sour cream, salsa etc and a portion of nachos. Please specify which option you prefer by selecting the correct variant option when you add your purchase to the shopping cart. If you are ordering for multiple people and require a mix of beef and vegetarian chilli in your order please add the number of 'beef' to your cart first and then add the number of 'vegetarian' to the cart separately.
